It says my rental period is unavailable. What gives?
This most likely means that your rental period falls inside our buffer window. To avoid a bad customer experience we leave a bit of time between rentals for the occasional late return and regular maintenance. Please begin your rental period at least 2 days out from your booking date.
Example: if you’re booking your rental on Monday, your rental period would need to begin on Wednesday.

Do I need to purchase an add-on in order for my tool rental to work?
While the items that we offer for purchase as add-ons are necessary for your tool rentals to do their jobs properly (ex: a power drill needs drill bits), the tools we rent are designed with universality in mind. You can rest assured that the add-ons we carry are the exact right fit to accompany your rentals, but the size/gauge/type you need is dependent on the project (ex: if you’re using a jig saw on metal, you’ll need a specific type of blade). Be sure to do your research before hand and purchase the right parts. And if we’re missing something you need, please let us know!

Why aren't add-ons included in my rental?
Items like jig saw blades and sanding discs are either too easy to damage or lose or are just disposable by nature. Offering these items as a convenience during checkout saves our customers a trip to a big box store and helps ensure that every customer starts with fresh, reliable equipment. It also allows our customers to determine and find the exact blade, bit, or grit they need instead of making that determination for them. We always aim to provide a great customer experience and in the end, it guarantees that you receive professional quality equipment in terrific condition at a fair price.

Do I need special training to use these tools?
The tools that we rent are very intuitive and a snap to learn. A lot of our customers will search YouTube for quick tutorials, but if you have any questions around how to operate your rentals, just ask at pickup or delivery.
Just be sure to wear proper safety gear like gloves, masks, and eye protection and observe all state and local regulations when using the tools.

Can I keep my rental past my return date?
We get it. Tools are fun. We’re happy to work with you as best we can among our other rental customers. Just send us an email or call us at least 24 hours in advance of your return date/time to let us know the situation.

How do your daily rates work?
Our daily rates are specific to each tool and apply to one 24-hour period. We don’t currently offer hourly rates, so be sure to double check your rental period dates/times at checkout to make sure it reflects what you need.

Do you require a deposit for your rentals?
We do not. Upon checkout, we collect 20% of your total order up front and the remainder after you pick it up or it is successfully delivered.

What happens if I damage my rental?
We curate our list of rentals with professional grade tools that are built to last. While critically damaging our rentals by accident is unlikely, we do expect there to be a reasonable amount of wear and tear as time goes by. If you have any questions on our policies around lost or damaged rentals, we encourage you to read our terms of service.

Any restrictions on who can operate your tools?
Yes. Any and all tool rentals must be operated by someone 18 or older and in the presence of the person whose name is on the order.

Do you charge for picking up a return when I submit a delivery order?
Nope! Return pickups are included in your delivery order.
